How do I get to Badeinsel Hallstatt?
If you are already in Hallstatt, the bathing island is just a ten minutes’ walk from the town center – from Hallstatt market place. If you are coming to Hallstatt, this bathing island could be you first stop. There are paid parking lots (P1/P2/P3/P4) available in Hallstatt. it is only 3-4 min walk from P1 or 5 min walk from P2. You can also take a bus or a train to Hallstatt station and walk from the ferry stop to the bathing island from there.
You can read a book by the lake or explore the various playground apparatus in the large playground area with your children. The beach is the perfect destination for a fantastic holiday in the Salzkammergut.

Good place for swimming in summer. It is fun to ride the slide and fall into the water, and there is also a diving board. You can also see a family of swans while swimming.
Hallstatt is absolutely worth a visit! If you want to enjoy a panoramic view, this is the right place for you. Exactly at the other end of Hallstatt there is another vantage point. Here, however, you can linger better thanks to benches and lots of greenery. In summer you can also swim here.

- Hallstatt Salt Mine: This is the oldest salt mine in the world, where you can learn about the history of salt mining and see the ancient tools and artifacts. You can also slide down the wooden slides and visit the underground salt lake.
- Hallstatt Skywalk World Heritage View: This is a viewing platform that offers a spectacular view of Hallstatt and the lake from 360 meters above sea level. You can access it by taking a funicular from town to the salt mine. The entrance fee is included in the salt mine ticket.
- Rudolfsturm Restaurant: This is a restaurant that is located in a former defense tower from the 13th century. You can enjoy traditional Austrian cuisine and panoramic views of the town and the lake. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Farmers Market Every Tuesday on Badeinsel Hallstatt
Every Tuesday from May to October, you can visit the market on Badeinsel Hallstatt. You can find a variety of local products such as cheese, honey, bread, jam, herbs, crafts, and souvenirs. You can also enjoy the scenic view of the lake and the mountains, or have a picnic on the lawn. The market is open from 8 am to 11 am and is easily accessible by foot from Hallstatt town center.

Swimming in the lake: In summer, you can swim in the clear and refreshing water of Lake Hallstatt. The lake has a temperature of about 20°C in July and August. You can access the lake from several public beaches or from the hotel’s lakeside terrace.
